Greenway

The Lake Como Greenway is a leisurely and pleasant hike through ancient villages, stunning villas and gardens, Romanesque and Baroque churches, by the breathtaking landscape of Lake Como.

Lake Como by boat

Making use of the regular service offered by Navigazione Lago di Como steamboat company, you can sail around the first branch of the lake starting from Como, with stop offs, if you wish, at Cernobbio, Moltrasio, Torno and Blevio.

Baradello Castle

Starting from Piazza San Rocco or from Piazzale Camerlata, you can walk to the foot of Castel Baradello, rebuilt in the twelfth century by Frederick I, better known as Barbarossa. He had it built on the remains of an ancient sixth century fort.

Brunate

The Funicular railway station, opened in 1894, is in piazza De Gasperi. In just a few minutes it takes you up to Brunate, known as "the balcony of the Alps" on account of its strategic location and breath-taking views from several different aspects.
